Salomon’s history as a leading manufacturer of ski bindings dates back to the late 1950s. At that time, the company introduced a safety binding that replaced traditional leather straps. Since then, Salomon has developed countless bindings, thereby revolutionizing the ski industry in many ways. Throughout this process, the safety of skiers has remained firmly anchored in the company's DNA. For this reason, we have today decided—as a precautionary measure—to initiate a voluntary recall of one of our bindings. Through feedback from retailers and our own rigorous technical investigations, we have identified an issue with the toe piece of a specific production batch of Salomon MTN touring bindings.
The information provided below will help you determine whether your MTN binding is affected by this recall. You will also find important instructions to ensure the replacement of affected toe pieces is as straightforward as possible.
This recall affects the following products:
Only products manufactured between May 1, 2022, and March 31, 2023, are affected.
If you purchased your bindings before May 1, 2022, you are not affected by this recall. Depending on your situation, the following action is required:
1/ Packaged Bindings: Identification and Return
Check the production date on the label on the packaging.

If your binding falls into one of the categories mentioned above, please return your skis to the store where you purchased them. Alternatively, you can take them to any Salomon retailer. Use the retailer locator if needed.

The store staff will check the serial number and replace the toe piece free of charge if necessary. WARNING: Ski bindings must only be removed by qualified professionals at a retailer. Under no circumstances should you attempt to repair or disassemble the binding yourself.
