Salomon Customer Reviews
1.General Information
SALOMON has implemented a system on its website, www.salomon.com, for collecting and publishing customer reviews. Its purpose is to:
assist other users in selecting products;
improve product quality.
By default, customer reviews are displayed in chronological order. Users have the option to select alternative filtering criteria via a drop-down menu.
Customers who have made a purchase on the website www.salomon.com automatically receive an email notification requesting feedback on the items they ordered. Incoming reviews are verified by our partner, Bazaar Voice, to ensure their authenticity.
Customers who have made a purchase in-store may submit a review on www.salomon.com. As these reviews cannot be verified, they are labeled as "unverified spontaneous reviews."
SALOMON occasionally engages product testers who receive products free of charge for testing purposes and subsequently review them. These reviews are explicitly labeled as "Product Test."
Reviews labeled as "Commercial Collaboration" include contributions from SALOMON athletes and/or brand ambassadors.
Before submitting their review, customers must agree to the applicable terms and conditions for review submission. It is recommended that these be read carefully beforehand.
Customer reviews remain visible for as long as the product in question is available on the website. However, SALOMON reserves the right to remove reviews that are older than two (2) years.
Reviews submitted on the e-commerce websites of SALOMON retail partners may also be published on www.salomon.com. These reviews are subject to the control of the SALOMON partners and are submitted in accordance with their respective terms of use. 2. Rules for the Content of Customer Reviews
Customers wishing to submit a review agree not to submit any content:
that they know to be false, inaccurate, or misleading;
that infringes upon the copyrights, patents, trademarks, trade secrets, or other proprietary, publicity, or privacy rights of any third party;
that violates any law, statute, or regulation (including, but not limited to, those governing consumer protection, unfair competition, discrimination, or misleading advertising);
that is defamatory, incites hatred, discriminates against or insults others based on their origin or religion, unlawfully threatens individuals, societies, or companies, constitutes unlawful harassment, or could reasonably be perceived as such;
for which they have been paid by, or received any form of compensation from, a third party;
that contains information regarding other websites, addresses, email addresses, contact details, or telephone numbers;
that contains viruses, worms, or other potentially harmful computer programs or files.
Reviews are generally published within two to four business days. However, SALOMON and/or its partner Bazaar Voice reserve the right—to the extent permitted by law—to delete reviews or refuse their publication if the review violates the rules set forth above.
If a customer review is not published, the customer in question will receive an email notification offering them the opportunity to submit a new review that complies with the aforementioned rules.
Once a customer review has been published, it can no longer be modified by the customer.
Customer reviews are published under the sole responsibility of their respective authors. For the avoidance of doubt, please note that SALOMON is entitled to respond to published customer reviews, and that SALOMON may contact customers—even after a review has been submitted—in the context of customer service. 3. Assignment of Rights
By submitting a customer review, the customer expressly grants SALOMON and its affiliated companies permission to use, exploit, reproduce, and translate the elements contained within the review (including any photographs) without restriction, across all media and in all formats. This permission is granted free of charge and applies worldwide for the entire duration of copyright protection. 4. Reporting Abuse
Users may at any time report customer reviews that infringe upon their rights or the rights of third parties, and/or that violate these Terms and Conditions, by clicking on the "Report" link located beneath the relevant review. In such cases, the reported review will be reviewed by SALOMON’s customer service partner.
